DSCSS

Digital Supplier Compliance and Selection System

DSCSS is where a shipyard sends a request for quotation, collects each supplier's answer against every requirement, and records the decision.

How it works

  1. The yard sends the RFQThe requirements are written once and sent to the suppliers you choose.
  2. Each supplier answersOn one page the supplier says comply, comply with deviation or cannot comply for every requirement, and adds the quotation.
  3. The yard decidesThe answers sit side by side. The yard awards the order and keeps the signed record.
The comparison matrix: requirements down the side, one column for each supplier, with the compliance of every answer.
The yard compares every answer in one matrix.
The supplier's page: each requirement with the choice comply, comply with deviation or cannot comply.
The supplier answers on one page.
The front page of the Technical Specification of Supply, made from the agreed answers.
The agreed answers become the contract document.
